Lighting Controls Association Updates Daylight Harvesting Course

03/16/2021 by Lighting Controls Association Leave a Comment

The Lighting Controls Association (LCA) has updated EE201: Daylight-Responsive Lighting Control, a popular course in its free, 24/7 Education Express program.

Authored by Craig DiLouie with significant in put from the National Electrical Manufacturers Association’s (NEMA) Daylight Management Council and the LCA membership, the course describes a simple process for design and application of devices and systems used to enact daylight harvesting as an energy-code compliant strategy. The new and improved course simplifies and condenses the material while updating it to recognize current code requirements and technology.

This course is registered with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES) for Learning Units (LU)/Health, Safety, Welfare (HSW) credits, and the National Council on Quality in the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) for Lighting Education Units (LEUs). It is also required reading to prepare for NALMCO’s Certified Lighting Controls Professional (CLCP) certification exam and a prerequisite for CALCTP and NLCAA contractor training and certificate in the State of California.
