Synapse Wireless Introduces the Sense 4-20

07/01/2020 by Lighting Controls Association Leave a Comment

Synapse Wireless’s Sense 4-20 enables you to bring the power of the latest Internet of Things technology into older facilities and equipment. Lighting networks are typically limited to photocell or motion sensors, but the Sense 4-20 enables integration of other sensors, such as temperature, humidity, vibration, etc. into an existing SimplySNAP network, expanding energy management tools.

Because it is both wireless and battery powered, it is cheap and easy to install in an industrial facility without incurring conduit or electrician costs. It can take any 4-20 mA sensor input and send that data, using the company’s smart lighting network, to its Cloud solution for analytics and visualization.

With the Sense 4-20, you can instrument any piece of equipment quickly and at a low cost, gaining insight into how that machine is functioning and how much energy it is using, according to Synapse.
