The Ghost Train Wins 2017 IES Lighting Control Innovation Award

The designers were asked to design the illumination for a 200-ft. pedestrian bridge; gateway to a 2-mile-square suburban village. But without any funds, the designers recognized that an extraordinary concept was needed to inspire funding. Through research, they discovered the original bridge once carried a historic high-speed train. They formed an idea to combine art, history and technology and create the allusion, or ghost, of this passing train.

85 Broad Street Public Space Experience Wins 2017 IES Lighting Control Innovation Award

A sculptural lighting design brings visual comfort and a compelling experience to the public spaces of this large office building. Integrated controls including media-driven processors, astronomical clocks, and project-wide dimming further reduce energy use and create kinetic lighting effects to enliven the occupants’ experience.

ETC and Echoflex Take Balloon Museum to New Heights

The Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum in Albuquerque showcases the beauty, ingenuity and history of lighter-than-air flight in a building that has become a beloved landmark in its hometown. Thanks to new control products from ETC and their partner Echoflex Solutions they were able to modernize their lighting control, offering a dynamic lighting environment that was also more energy efficient.
