Hubbell Wins Three School/University Planning & Management Magazine PoY Awards

School Planning & Management, along with its sister publication, College Planning & Management, created the annual New Product of the Year award program “to honor the outstanding product development achievements of manufacturers and suppliers whose products or services are considered particularly noteworthy in helping to improve the learning environment.” Hubbell Lighting recently announced that three of its products were selected for inclusion on 2018’s prestigious list.

American Industrial Partners to Acquire Current, powered by GE

GE recently announced it has signed a proposed agreement to sell its Current, powered by GE business to American Industrial Partners (AIP), a New York-based private equity firm that focuses on buying, improving and growing industrial businesses. The proposed transaction is expected to close in early 2019, subject to customary closing conditions and approvals.

Lutron Reimagines Residential Experience Center in NYC

Nearly three times the size of Lutron’s former New York City space, the new Center is intended to offer a design destination for the tri-state area specification community and their clients.

Siemens Acquires Enlighted

Siemens Building Technologies Division recently announced it has acquired Enlighted Inc., a Silicon Valley-based manufacturer of intelligent lighting systems. Both parties have agreed not to disclose financial details. Closing is expected in the third quarter of 2018. Enlighted will be managed as an independent legal entity and wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens Industry, Inc.
