In this session, Eaton and UL underscore the essential need for global cybersecurity standards and endorse adoption of UL 2900 and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 62443 cybersecurity standards for medical and operational technology (OT) devices, associated systems and development processes. Despite the recent spike in ransomware attacks and FDA recognition, the UL and IEC healthcare cybersecurity standards are not yet widely adopted.
